Johnson named to airport commission

R. Kinard Johnson Jr. has been appointed by Greenville City Council to a three-year term on the Greenville Airport Commission, the owner and operator of the Greenville Downtown Airport.

After practicing law from 1969 to 1982, Johnson became a South Carolina State Family Court judge and held court in all 46 counties in South Carolina until 2010.

Johnson has been named the hearing master for the South Carolina Judicial Standards Commission, elected past president of the South Carolina Conference of Family Court Judges and was a former member of the South Carolina Guardian ad Litem Program Advisory Board. 

He’s also a recipient of the Order of the Palmetto, which is South Carolina's highest civilian honor.
