Greenville businessman Erwin Maddrey received the first Welling Award for Regional Collaboration last week at Ten at the Top’s forum on successes across the Upstate.
The award is named after businessman Irv Welling III, Ten at the Top’s first chairman. It will be given annually to an individual, business or organization that has consistently demonstrated a commitment to regional collaboration and partnerships.
Maddrey has been active with a number of regional organizations in the Upstate throughout his career, including Ten at the Top, Upstate Forever and the Urban League of the Upstate.
Maddrey co-founded Delta Woodside Industries; he retired from the company in 2000 as president, CEO and director.
At the event, TATT also recognized 39 companies, organizations and initiatives celebrating milestone anniversaries of 20 or more years in 2012. For more on those recognitions, click here.
