Greenville-based VidiStar announced Wednesday a partnership with Avreo, a Charleston-based radiology medical-imaging company.

VidiStar developed an online reporting system that auto-populates medical data from imaging devices, such as ultrasound machines, into reporting software to create customized reports on patients. VidiStar’s online reporting system is used by cardiologists and orthopedic surgeons, as well as hospitals, medical device distributors, medical supply companies and other companies.

Under this new partnership and licensing agreement, Avreo, and its channel partner network, will act as a distributor for VidiStar. Avreo also will integrate VidiStar products into its cardiology medical-imaging system.

“We are excited to work with Avreo in licensing our imaging and patented reporting solution for cardiology,” VidiStar CEO Craig A. Walker said in a news release. “This partnership is a win-win for both companies since our cardiology technology enhances Avreo’s workflow solution and allows VidiStar to further expand our market-share.”

Avreo, a privately held company founded in 1997, provides medical-imaging systems for outpatient facilities, multi-specialty organizations and community hospitals.
