Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar announced plans to open a restaurant at Magnolia Park, the site of the former Greenville Mall on Woodruff Road.

Founded by restaurateurs Frank Scibelli and Dennis Thompson, Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar has six locations in North Carolina.

The new franchise owner is CPR Burgers LLC.

Construction will begin this month on the 3,500-square-foot restaurant, according to a news release. The restaurant will have a 600-square-foot patio and will be able to accommodate 170 diners. The general contractor is Precision Builders from Fort Mill, and interior design will be provided by Carrie Frye of Studio Fusion. The restaurant plans to open next summer.

In August, Dave & Buster’s announced plans to develop a restaurant and entertainment complex at Magnolia Park.

Magnolia Park is owned by Menin Development of Palm Beach, Fla. Currently, there is 550,000 square feet of retail space. Tenants include the cinema, Sports Authority, Rooms to Go and Costco. Bed Bath and Beyond and Old Navy are also located on the 66-acre Magnolia Park campus.

Menin plans an additional 520,000 square feet of retail space, 375,000 square feet of office space, one or two hotels and residential buildings.
