Owners of an Upstate interior design firm will open a furniture and home decor retail store called West End Treasures in downtown Greenville on Thursday.
This is one of several new businesses to locate in downtown’s West End.
The store, at 618-B S. Main St., is the second for owners Angie and George Case of Case Interior Design Group Inc. Their first store is located in downtown Pickens. Angie Case, who has a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Western Carolina University, started the interior design firm in 1994.
West End Treasures is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 to 5:30 p.m.
It joins a growing list of tenants on the West End.
Savannah-based women’s clothier Custard Boutique recently opened in the West End on Main Street, and owners of On the Roxx, a bar at 734 S. Main St. in downtown Greenville, hope to open an event venue on the second floor.
And several developers are working on mixed-used projects in the neighborhood. Chuck Watson, co-owner of West End North LLC, is renovating a 17,000-square-foot building at 508 Rhett St. into office and retail space. Jenks Inc. Realty of Greenville is revitalizing three buildings in the 100 block of Markley Street between Academy and Rhett streets into a 62,000-square-foot mixed-used development. And Purser & Associates Inc. of Charlotte plans to build a 150-unit apartment complex at the corner of Rhett and Wardlaw streets.
