Upstate manufacturers and companies are seeking employers at an upcoming job fair.
Tri-County Technical College’s Corporate and Community Education Division and the Anderson, Liberty and Seneca SC Works Centers are reaching out to unemployed and underemployed individuals by hosting a Job Fair and Training Expo.
AmCan/ Great Wide, Ashmore Bros. Inc., Bosch, C3 Elder Care, Cross Country Home Services, First Quality, Interim Health, I-Tech Solutions, King Asphalt Inc., Maxim Healthcare Services, Michelin, Oconee Medical Center, Phillips Staffing, WasteCo Inc. and ZF Transmissions are among the participating employers seeking qualified employees.
Participants can meet and interview with area employers and to find out about short-term training options in the fields of health care, business, heavy equipment operator, industrial/manufacturing and truck driving.
In addition to finding jobs, attendees can find training opportunities through QuickJobs training programs and the college’s Corporate and Community Education Division classes and certificate programs, which are endorsed by area employers.
“This is an easy way for them to talk with potential employers about their career choices and to take the first steps toward a new career path,” said Sandra Strickland, Tri-County’s Corporate and Community Education Division’s program director, in a news release.
The event will be held for Anderson, Oconee and Pickens county residents Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Industrial and Business Development Center on the Pendleton Campus at 7900 Highway 76 in Pendleton.
