The acquisition brings on eight new employees and 2,800 new clients. Furman Insurance now serves 6,000 clients.

The acquisition brings account managers and account executives; additional insurance company contracts and relationships; additional underwriting resources; and increased marketing capabilities to Furman Insurance.
With the expanded operations of Furman Insurance, the downtown Greenville office has also expanded by relocating to a larger space within the same building at 703 E. North St.
The addition of the BSI team will increase the capabilities of Furman Insurance’s existing garage and dealer program, as well as expand the workers’ compensation, retail, trucking and personal lines products offered.
Locally owned, BSI will continue to operate its group health and third-party administration business.
