WHM Capital names senior portfolio manager

WHM Capital Advisors LLC has named Bill Mitchell as its new senior portfolio manager for the financial advisory firm. 

Mitchell has more than two decades of experience in financial services and the investment industry.

“He brings a wealth of strategic investment and financial experience, having dealt with investors in different markets and on all timeframes,” said John H. Barnes, the firm’s chief operating and compliance officer, in a news release. “He also understands the importance of tailoring unique investment programs for the individual client.”

A native of Greenville, Mitchell began his financial career in 1992 as an analyst for Elliott Wave International in Gainesville, Ga., covering major world equity, currency, commodity and interest rate markets. During his time there, he became the chief equity strategist and managed the institutional equity department, providing analysis of all global stock markets.

In 2001, Mitchell returned to Greenville as part of Wells Fargo Advisors, managing money for individual families and small businesses.

He graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with majors in finance and Spanish.

He has served as the alumni board president for Christ Church Episcopal School, as well as on the Steering Committee for Young Life — Greenville.

WHM Capital Advisors is a financial advisory firm established to serve privately owned businesses considering or currently in transition.
