Oppermann Webbing Inc. recently completed the expansion of its Piedmont facility to meet increased demand for its products.
The company announced in October plans to invest $2.1 million and create 20 jobs. Since that time, the company has built a 38,000-square-foot facility expansion in the Anderson County Upstate Industrial Park and has added manufacturing and warehouse equipment to its existing operation.
The company began hiring for some of the positions in the production areas, such as weaving technicians and warehouse personnel, during the fourth quarter of 2012. Hiring continues for production positions through 2013.
This facility manufactures synthetic strapping in nylon and polyester fabrics for industrial, commercial, safety and military applications. The expansion provides the company with a 92,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility to serve its customers throughout the United States.
Oppermann Webbing Inc. will continue to work with the Workforce One-Stop in Anderson County for new hires. Anyone interested in job opportunities should contact the SC Works center in Anderson at 864-226-6273.
