Jack Jones, Boeing S.C. vice president
Jones will address an expected gathering of hundreds of manufacturing industry, business, civic and political leaders from across the state at the annual luncheon March 21 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville.
The event is an opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers and industry partners to network with manufacturing executives and share best practices, according to event organizers.
During the event, three companies will be honored from among 11 statewide finalists for the 2013 Silver Crescent Awards for Manufacturing Excellence.
A new addition to the 2013 program, 125 manufacturing executives and industry partners can attend a Best Practices Forum, featuring presentations on innovation, sustainability, education, manufacturing and profitability by executives from Sage Automotive, GE Power and Water and Bridgestone-Firestone.
Fred Dedrick, the executive director of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions, will also headline the forum. He will share innovative public-private initiatives from across the country designed to provide workers with the skills they need to advance in manufacturing careers, while helping employers remain economically competitive.
Presented annually by The Silver Crescent Foundation, the 2013 Silver Crescent Awards are co-sponsored by the South Carolina Research Authority, Scott and Co. CPAs and by SC Biz News LLC, the publisher of GSA Business, the Columbia Regional Business Report and the Charleston Regional Business Report.
