Medical products manufacturer and distributor Hartmann USA Inc. will add 75 jobs in an $18 million expansion in York County.

The expansion includes relocating production operations from Bloomington, Ind. The company’s products are used for incontinence, compression and wound management.

John Gilbert, Hartmann USA’s president and CEO, said in a statement that after almost 20 years in the Rock Hill community the expansion will put its existing corporate office, distribution center and domestic incontinence management production under one roof. Gilbert said the location is ideal, including close proximity to Charleston’s port.

The company, part of The Hartmann Group based in Heidenheim, Germany, will install new manufacturing machines and modify the building as part of the expansion expected to be finished in mid-2014.

The company currently has more than 40 employees in Rock Hill and more than 140 nationally. Hiring for the new positions, mostly in manufacturing and warehouse support jobs, will start early next year.
