A manufacturer of wheels and braking systems for various aircraft has announced plans to relocate its U.S. operations to Greenville.
Beringer Aero USA will lease light manufacturing and distribution space at the Next Manufacturing Center, according to a news release. The company is relocating its distribution and sales office from Chicago and plans to also move the related positions to Greenville.
“The Beringer team chose Greenville, S.C., based upon the growth of its aerospace industry and pro-business environment,” Claire Beringer, director of worldwide marketing for the firm, said in the release.
The company is based in Tallard, France, and produces wheels and braking systems for light aircraft and other aircraft. Its products have been featured on aircraft competing in the Red Bull Air Race, Reno Championship Air Races and on the Solar Impulse II aircraft, which flew around the world on electric power.
"Beringer Aero USA's decision to locate this operation here is strong affirmation of the talent and professionalism of our educated, high-tech workforce and Greenville's competitiveness,” Bob Taylor, chairman of Greenville County Council, said in the release.
