On March 3, Bon Secours St. Francis Health System will open its fifth urgent care location in Greenville.
The new location, at 1800 Augusta Road at Lewis Plaza, will be 2,500 square feet and offer diagnosis and treatment of ailments like “colds, stomach flu, ear infections, urinary tract infections, headaches, bronchitis, as well as injuries and accidents including broken bones and fractures, back and joint pain, and some minor lacerations or cuts,” according to a news release.
“We are thrilled to offer another urgent care location as it will continue to improve access for patients in a timely and convenient manner,” said Dr. Anselmo Nunez, Bon Secours Medical Group CEO, in the release. “We are responding to the needs of the community by providing an easy location close to the St. Francis Emergency Department for alternative means of receiving our outstanding health care.”
Bon Secours said it will staff the new urgent care facility with a nurse practitioner, MD, X-ray tech, medical assistant, receptionist and site manager.
“Our expansion of an additional AFC Urgent Care Bon Secours location is part of our mission of being Good Help to Those in Need and providing high quality, compassionate health care in a faith-based environment,” said Craig McCoy, CEO of Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, in the release. “We look forward to this expansion of our services within the Greenville community.”
