Associated Packaging Inc., a Greer-based corrugated packaging and digital production company, has been acquired by an Illinois-based packaging company.
KapStone Paper and Packaging Corp. said it has completed acquiring the assets of API in a news release. Details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
“The acquisition of API further enhances KapStone's footprint in the strategic Southeast market,” said Matthew Kaplan, president and CEO of KapStone, in the release. “The acquisition strengthens our goal of increasing integration, providing additional internal opportunities for our overall business. We believe API brings immediate value to our overall business strategy.”
API has a newly-remodeled 240,000-square-foot facility in Greer and employs 77.
