With more than 850 employees at eight locations — including 32 in Pickens County — the company’s technologies and processes range from welding to laser applications to metal and plastics processing.

“We’re already walking through the facility talking about what our growth plans are for this year and the following year, so I assure you, especially with this weather, we will be back soon for the next grand opening,” said Mike DuBose, JR Automation chairman and CEO, in a news release.

Ray Farley, executive director of Alliance Pickens, called the new facility “a phenomenal candy store of technology.”
