A multi-use development at the corner of Main Street and Pine Street in downtown Spartanburg has an anchor tenant.

United Community Bank will locate its main Spartanburg office at the development. Construction on the new development is scheduled to start later this year.

“We are excited to grow our presence in Spartanburg and specifically in this location, where we can be a part of the redevelopment of a bookend to the thriving downtown business district,” said Kimberly Mode, president of United Community Bank – Spartanburg and Cherokee County, in a news release.

Centennial American Properties of Greenville is developing the site. Centennial American is working on the Camperdown development in downtown Greenville.

The development includes more than 100 parking spaces and a 19,000-square-foot building.
