Greenville B-cycle has installed a new station this at Next Innovation Center, expanding the bike-share network to nine stations and 45 bikes. The station installation was completed with support from Greenville Health System and Hughes Development Corp., according to a news release.
“We are so excited to expand B-cycle to the Next Innovation Center. Not only will it serve the employees based there, it will also be a great asset for residents of South Ridge Apartments just across the street,” said Greenville B-cycle Program Director Lisa Hallo, in the release. “Since the program’s inception in 2013 we have been steadily growing the system. We plan to have at least 10 stations and 50 bikes by the end of the year.”
Greenville B-cycle developed out of a partnership between Upstate Forever and Greenville Health System. Greenville B-cycle offers adult-sized bicycles that members can check out and return at various stations including Caine Halter Family YMCA, city hall, Fluor Field, Greenville Transit Center, Greenville Zoo and at the corner of College and North Main Street.
