The S.C. Department of Transportation plans to replace the railroad crossing on Woodruff Road just east of the Garlington Road intersection in Greenville this weekend, which will require lane closures.
Motorists will see lane closures this Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2, from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, according to a news release. During that time, Woodruff Road will be limited to one lane in each direction. Additionally, at some point on Saturday, a 15-minute closure of traffic will be required to install the new railroad track.
SCDOT suggests motorists to consider alternate routes and to expect traffic congestion.
This weekend’s work will facilitate the future upgrades to Woodruff Road planned for 2018/2019, according to the release.
