Midlands Mediation Center announces training conference to raise to the surface the need to address youth trauma both in schools and in our communities that arise from bullying and racial discrimination. Together, we will promote constructive dialogue and constantly educate individuals, businesses, and other constituents of the importance of dialogue and communication through conflict identification and management.

We are inviting our schools, parents, ecumenical organizations’ youth directors (Young People Department, Youth Ministries, Young Adult Ministries, etc), law enforcement and grassroots organizations working directly with youth to participate in this conversation and work with us to develop actions to assist our youth with addressing conflict in a more constructive manner.

The Community Restorative Practice Conference, is taking place on December 13 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., at Richland Two Institute of Innovation; and on December 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Richland Library Sandhills. Guided by three national facilitators, participants will explore how to use Community, Connections, Conversations and Collaboration to address youth trauma.
