Mauldin manufacturer announces $11M expansion project

A Greenville County manufacturer of cable support and power distribution systems is set to launch a multimillion-dollar expansion.

MP Husky will invest $11.1 million to expand its Greenville facility by fall of 2025, according to a news release.

The investment is expected to create approximately 35 new positions, reinforcing MP Husky’s commitment to the Greenville community and its local economy, the release stated.

“MP Husky has been a part of Greenville County for 40 years,” said MP Husky President Dusty Henry in the release. “We are proud to call the Upstate our home and are appreciative of the support of the state, county and city government to help with this expansion. We have experienced tremendous growth since the opening of our current facility in 2017 and with this addition we are excited to see that growth continue in Mauldin, South Carolina.”

The expansion will increase the facility’s footprint and add state-of-the-art equipment, enhancing production capabilities and driving innovation, the release stated. MP Husky is located at 1370 Old Stage Road in the City of Mauldin.

Founded in 1955, MP Husky has grown from a modest enterprise into a prominent manufacturer known for its high-quality cable support systems and power distribution solutions, the release stated. The company specializes in a range of products including cable trays, wire mesh cable trays, and cable bus systems. These products are crucial for the safe and efficient management of electrical and communication cables in diverse industrial and commercial settings such as power plants, data centers and manufacturing facilities.
