Lockheed Martin’s Greenville operations facility has welcomed a second T-50A fighter/trainer aircraft. The T-50A is the company’s bid to be the next training aircraft for the U.S. Air Force.
Lockheed Martin is partnering with Korea Aerospace Industries to produce the entrant into the Advanced Pilot Training competition. According to defense industry experts, the Lockheed/KIA team will be competing with Boeing/Saab and the team of Sierra Nevada/Turkish Aerospace Industries. The team of Northrop Grumman/BAE Systems along with Raytheon/Leonardo have reportedly backed out of the competition.
