Affordable housing community opens in Greenville

Property management and development firm NHE Inc. and its partners held a grand opening for Renaissance Place, an affordable housing community for residents age 55 and older.

The 57-unit apartment complex, located near Bob Jones University at 119 Logan Knoll Lane, joins more than 90 other NHE-managed affordable housing properties in markets ranging from Spartanburg and Gaffney to Rock Hill, Columbia, Charleston and Anderson.

Applicants must earn 50% to 60% of Greenville’s area median income to live in the one- and two-bedroom apartments ranging from 749 square feet to 1,077 square feet

Iberia Bank, a division of First Horizon Bank and its Iberia Civic Impact Partners group, provided funding for the project, which was carried out by NHE, Creative Builders and SCG Development Partners LLC. of Tysons Corner, Va.

The project was supported by the Greenville Housing Fund, Community Works and the city of Greenville.
