Gaudiano returns to BMW’s Spartanburg plant

Jeffrey Gaudiano has been named the new vice president of production control, logistics and value-added production systems at BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg. He returns to BMW Manufacturing after spending four years as the managing director and CEO of BMW Plant Thailand.

Gaudiano succeeds Gerald Degen, who has returned to Germany as the vice president of assembly at Plant Leipzig.

“I’m excited to be returning home to Plant Spartanburg,” Gaudiano said in a news release. “I spent two decades in this plant watching it grow and mature into a successful and important part of the BMW Group production network. I’ve always appreciated the spirit and enthusiasm our associates have in building premium quality vehicles for the world.”

Gaudiano was one of the first 100 associates hired at BMW Manufacturing in 1993 and held a variety of roles in the plant, the news release said. He worked as body shop coordinator, assembly department manager and continuous improvement department manager during his first nine years.

From 2002-2014, Gaudiano was the department manager of plant structural integration, production control and distribution, according to the release.
