In place of BMW Charity Pro-Am’s Breakfast with Champions, the event’s Tournament Week of Giving was kicked of today at 10 a.m. with an online auction and a $24,000 donation to the Meyer Center and Cancer Society of Greenville County.

“I was very much looking forward to being a part of this year’s BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by Synnex Crop. and the Breakfast with Champions event,” Jay Haas, PGA Tour champion, said in a news release. “While this event unfortunately ended before it truly began, I am pleased we are still able to support these two wonderful organizations and look forward to participating in the event next year.”

Haas and Roger Clemens, a former Major League Baseball player, were originally slated to attend the breakfast.

The golf tournament was cancelled because of COVID-19 concerns, but proceeds from the event’s online auction, hosted through Sunday, will benefit six featured charities, which were announced last year.
