Mike Dowling named COO of Southern First

Greenville-based Southern First Bancshares Inc., holding company for Southern First Bank has promoted Michael D. Dowling to COO. He also will continue to serve as CFO of the company.
Dowling has been an executive vice president and CFO of the company for the past eight years. Prior to joining Southern First, Dowling served as an audit partner with KPMG LLP and a member of its financial services practice. He is a 1993 graduate of Clemson University and serves as president of the Clemson University Alumni Association.
Southern First has Midlands-area branches in Lexington, Cayce and Forest Acres.
