Chamber to host Athena Leadership Symposium

The Greenville Chamber of Commerce will host the eighth annual Athena Leadership Symposium from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Greenville Convention Center. Susan Credle, global chief creative officer at FCB, will be the keynote speaker.

This Athena Leadership Symposium is held each year “to share best practices for advancing women’s leadership and corporate board service,” according to a news release.

The Athena Leadership Symposium “equips Greenville’s business community with the knowledge and resources needed to create greater gender balance in senior-level positions,” the release said. The program is inspired by recipients of the Greenville Chamber’s Athena Leadership Award, an award presented each year to a local leader who has made significant strides in assisting women in achieving their full leadership potential.

“As we build a world-class business community, it is imperative that we start by leading world-class, inclusive organizations. We take great pride in equipping organizations with the knowledge and tools necessary to accomplishing this,” Carlos Phillips, Greenville Chamber president and CEO, said in the release.
