Mobile Communications America has continued its march along the East Coast and beyond with the acquisition of four communication providers in Texas, Georgia, Virginia and Michigan.

The slew of purchases follows the Spartanburg-based company’s five acquisitions last year and six acquisitions in 2021.

Mobile Communications America now has a presence in Plymouth, Mich., through its purchase of ComSource Inc., and in Austin, Texas, through the acquisition of All Points Communications of Austin and All Points, a provider of two-way radio systems and wireless broadband.

Lord and Company Technologies Inc., a 40-year-old in-building wireless communications provider headquartered in Manassas, Va., will also come under the umbrella of Mobile Communications America.

In Dalton, Ga., Lamar Nichols and Glen Hobbs, co-owners of Dalton SMR Inc., signed over their 20-year-old company in a transaction announced last week.

“We cannot think of another partner that would be able to step in and continue a seamless transition for our customers,” Nichols and Hobbs said in a statement. “Both our wide area radio network and our in-plant solutions will benefit from the support of the MCA organization.”

MCA serves more than 65,000 customers across 13 states with Motorola voice, data and video products.

“We are excited for Dalton SMR to join the MCA family,” Vince Foody, CEO of MCA, said in a news release. “Dalton SMR has more than two decades of experience servicing the Georgia and Tennessee regions. Their outstanding reputation and history of excellent customer service will strengthen our ability to better serve the region.”
