A nationwide packaging and automation company is moving its corporate headquarters to Greenville from another Upstate city.

IPS Packaging & Automation has leased nearly 29,000 square feet of space at 701 Brookfield Parkway in Greenville from Colliers South Carolina, according to a Colliers news release, which will serve as the new corporate headquarters for the packaging solutions company.

Colliers South Carolina’s office brokerage team members Brantley Anderson, Taylor Allenand Bailey Tollison, along with Heather Lamb, senior vice president in the Colliers Atlanta office, represented Brookfield Realty II LLC in the deal.

“When Verizon vacated the nearly 200,000-square-foot building at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020, Colliers was hired to release the space,” said Brantley Anderson, vice president at Colliers, in the release. “We had to navigate the challenge of shifting the marketing focus from single-tenant to multi-tenant, and we are now delighted to have secured one of the few office headquarters in Greenville.”

IPS is a nationwide company specializing in packaging and automation, using industry-specific, specialized resources to provide full-scale packaging solutions, the release stated. The family-owned business is moving its office out of its warehouse in Fountain Inn, S.C. where it has operated its headquarters since 1976.

IPS has grown to become a nationwide distributor for leading manufacturers in the country, the release stated.

“The owner is excited to welcome Industrial Packaging Solutions as it relocates its headquarters to 701 Brookfield Parkway,” said Taylor Allen, vice president at Colliers. “Facilitating this move not only signifies the desirability for a modern work environment but also shows the continuous growing attractiveness of Greenville as an office location.”

In June, IPS acquired Day-Pak Inc., based in Dayton, Ohio, strengthening the company’s position as a national supplier that partners with customers to control creeping expenses related to labor, freight, material costs and damaged goods.

Owned by Brookfield Realty II LLC, 701 Brookfield Parkway, built in 2002, is a nearly 194,000-square-foot, Class A, suburban office building nestled within the Brookfield Office Park off Butler Road in Greenville, according to the release.
