The city of Greenville is hosting two public drop-in events next week to provide information about the Community Character Code.

Unity Park (Rendering/Provided)The new draft zoning code is designed to encourage redevelopment in and around the proposed Unity Park while preserving the character of the area.

The informational events will be Monday, Jan. 7, and Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church at 111 Cagle St.

A draft of the plan is available online.
