Venditio LLC is building a small strip center in Greer with the Green Café Lounge as the anchor tenant.

Construction on The Palms at Brushy Creek will start in June or July on previously undeveloped land at the intersection of Brushy Creek Road and Moorlyn Lane in Greer, according to Jay Desai, a partner and owner of Greer-based Venditio LLC.

The development will be across Moorlyn Lane from a town home development, Desai said.

“My vision to bring a unique retail mini strip experience for the Greer community,” he said. The property will be built with environmental considerations as part of the plan to avoid compromising the ecosystem, he said. The site plans include an electric vehicle charging station.

The Green Cafe Lounge is focused on “specialty drinks like espresso, smoothies and farm-to-table healthy eats,” Desai said. The cafe will have coffee beans roasted locally and won’t use single-use plastic straws.

The $1.2 million project is designed by Johnson Design Group and Zuendt Engineering is responsible for the engineering work. When completed, the project could lead to about a dozen retail jobs, Desai said.
