Construction begins on Weatherstone in Simpsonville

Durham Homes USA, operating partner of Greenville private equity firm Broadstreet Inc., is beginning the construction of Weatherstone, a planned community in Simpsonville.

The development has 22 houses with four and five-bedroom floor plans that range in size from 2,856 to 4,421 square feet, according to a news release. Located at 212 Brandau Lane, the community is in the Greenville County School District. 

Eight homes are under contract pre-construction and the average sell price is $875,000.

“Simpsonville is one of the fastest-growing areas in Greenville County and gives you a small town feel with access to big city amenities,” Joseph Baldassarra, president of Broadstreet Inc., said in a news release. “Weatherstone’s refined craftsmanship paired with its location in a lively community makes it an attractive place for families to live.”

The new homes include interior features such as granite or quartz countertops, exposed wood trusses, interior brick, custom shelving in each closet and luxury bathrooms with tile showers and free-standing bathtubs, the release said. The exterior details incorporate stone and cedar accents, spacious three-car garages, screened porches and wooded privacy on every single home lot.

“Our homes at Weatherstone are carefully curated, offering a wide range of architectural styles,” Martin Childress, co-owner of Durham Homes USA, said in the release. “From French country to modern craftsmanship and some rustic elements, we offer a variety of designs that will suit any need. The interiors of the homes have attractive features like 10-foot ceilings, eight-foot doors and upgraded Bosch appliances.”

Durham Homes USA is based in Simpsonville. They have built homes across the Upstate, including Tindal Park off S. Church Street in Greenville, Braxton Ridge in Simpsonville and Squires Pointe in Duncan.
