Perry Ellis installs solar power at distribution center

Listen to this articlePerry Ellis International today is unveiling a rooftop solar power installation that is part of the company’s sustainability initiative.
The new photovoltaic system on the Perry Ellis distribution center in Seneca was constructed by Con Edison Solutions and is expected to produce about 60% of the facility’s annual energy consumption, according to a news release. The company’s corporate social responsibility strategy calls for it to reduce its carbon footprint
The system includes a 2,432-panel rooftop installation on top of the 350,000-square-foot building, the release said.
Con Edison Solutions is an energy services subsidiary of Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses, a part of the Consolidated Edison Inc.
