AT&T aids Tri-County Tech College with food vouchers

The $240 vouchers will help cover students’ nutrition needs at the college café for one semester, according to a news release.

“Our Believe SC initiative is focused on helping address the problem of hunger in South Carolina,” Amanda Taylor, regional director of external affairs for AT&T, said in the release.  “We’re excited to be able to support the Tri-County Technical College Foundation as they work to help students avoid having to choose between food and continuing their education to prepare for the future.”

Denny’s partners with No Kid Hungry

Denny’s will partner with No Kid Hungry for the 10th year to help combat childhood hunger in the United States. From Sept. 11 to Nov. 3, guests can round up their bill to the nearest dollar to benefit the food insecurity initiative, or donate $1 online or in person.

Over the past nine years, Denny’s has contributed $9 million or 90 million meals through the program, according to a news release.   

"We are proud to be celebrating our 10th year of partnering with No Kid Hungry and remain committed to feeding our communities during this time of heightened need," John Dillon, chief brand officer for Denny's, said in the release. "Spare change can help create real change in the lives of children across the country. As America's diner, Denny's will always lend a helping hand and give back to the communities we serve."
