The U.S. Small Business Administration has extended the deadline for the 2019 National Small Business Week Awards nominations. All nominations now must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4.

Since 1963, National Small Business Week has recognized achievements of America’s small businesses for their contributions to their local communities, and to the nation’s economy, according to a news release.

Nominations are being accepted for state and national awards. State award categories are:

  • Female Small Business Person of the Year
  • Minority Small Business Person of the Year
  • Rural Small Business Person of the Year
  • Veteran Small Business Person of the Year Award
  • Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Self-nominations are accepted. All nomination packages must be hand delivered or mailed. Email submissions of SBA Awards forms will not be accepted as they contain personally identifiable information, the release said.
