Greenville’s Business Recovery Task Force launched a “Greater Greenville Pledge” initiative to promote social distancing, capacity limits, monitoring employees for COVID-19 symptoms, and the use of masks and other sanitization methods in the region’s businesses.

The campaign, jointly developed by the city of Greenville, Greenville County, the Greenville Chamber and the Greenville Area Development Corporation, offers bilingual reopening resources via its website. In the days ahead, the campaign will send a marketing package, including window and counter signage, to businesses that have made the pledge, according to a news release.

Greenville businesses under pledge will be mapped on GreaterGreenvillePledge.com and encouraged to advertise using social media with the hashtag #GreaterGVLPledge.

“As we begin the important work of reopening our economy, we encourage area businesses to take the Pledge. By taking strategic and necessary precautions, as well as sharing the message that ‘Greenville is Safely Open for Business,’ businesses can play an active role in restoring customer and employee confidence,” Greenville Chamber President and CEO Carlos Phillips said in the release.
