Greenville’s Business Recovery Task Force reported its initial guidelines (.pdf) for reopening the local economy today and also helped launch a Greater Greenville Pledge site geared toward Hispanic business owners, lapromesadegreenville.com.

Recommendations include facilitating the rollout of the Greater Greenville Pledge Communications  marketing plan, financial tools for local businesses, one point of contact for updated resources, access to personal protective equipment and the use videos and other platforms to address industry-specific problems related to COVID-19, according to a news release.

The report also prioritizes the expansion of resources to diverse populations, a strategy to boost the county’s bruised tourism industry and an analysis of future office environment trends, according to the news release. An ambassador program would help carry out these suggestions in the present, while the task force lays out a response plan for future crises.

Mayor Knox White; Carlos Phillips, CEO and president of the Greenville Chamber; and Adela Mendoza, executive director of the Hispanic Alliance, will unveil the bilingual La Promesade outreach program and website today at a 1 p.m. briefing.
