Pique Young Professionals will host a virtual “Upstate Panel of Mayors” from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday. This free event is open to the public and will feature panelists Mayor Brandy Amidon of Travelers Rest, Mayor Terence Roberts of Anderson, and Mayor Brandon Smith of Greenwood.

The mayors will discuss how they balance their roles and the dynamics of corporate and public leadership, according to a news release from Ten at the Top.

“I look forward to discussing the pleasures and challenges of being mayor of my hometown during these times,” Smith said in the news release. ‘Having multiple jobs can be overwhelming at times, but it is also rewarding.”

Registration is open now.

Hosted by Pique Young Professionals, panel participants will speak about their own experiences and will be prepared to answer questions from attendees, the release said.

“Be curious about ways to make your home and community a better place,” Amidon said in the release. “Local government is such an easy way to get involved and make a huge impact where you live and work.”

Pique Young Professionals hosts an annual regional young leaders event called Pique, with the goal of bringing together existing young professional groups from across the Upstate. Pique gives this group the ability to connect, network and come together.

“I’m looking forward to the event and being with two talented young mayors. Sharing what I do makes me a better politician and business owner,” Roberts said in the release.
