ECPI University has been approved by the South Carolina Board of Nursing to expand its nursing program in Greenville to include an Associate Degree of Nursing. Classes will begin April 1.

“Employers across the state are utilizing creative methods to entice nurses to work for them,” said Patti Wentz, ECPI University Greenville director of nursing, in a news release. “And many shifts go uncovered every day. We see this opportunity as one that will positively impact the local shortage of registered nurses and support the healthcare community in hiring qualified candidates to work in their facilities.”

ECPI University’s nursing programs are offered in an accelerated, year-round format that allows students to earn their nursing degree in 18 months, the release said.
