Spartanburg Community College will host a health care career showcase at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the Health and Human Services building on the college’s central campus in Spartanburg. The event will feature programs of study in the School of Health Sciences and the jobs available to health care professionals.

The showcase is open to anyone interested in pursuing a health care career, whether still in high school, a current Spartanburg Community College student or someone considering a career change.

"A career in health care is exciting, rewarding and offers many options for career paths. For example, the demand for well-trained nurses exceeds the supply," Benita Yowe, dean of Spartanburg Community College Health and Human Services, said in a news release. "Our health science programs prepare accountable, competent and technologically prepared individuals who can provide quality care and administration in diversified health care settings."
