Michelin, Greenville Tech gift critical needs supplies

Michelin North America donated more than 25,000 surgical masks to AnMed Health Thursday, while Greenville Technical College held a critical supplies drive for the Bon Secours St. Francis Health System.

Bill Manson, CEO of AnMed Health, met with Michelin representatives to receive the personal protective equipment outside the health care system’s primary medical center, 800 N. Fant Street in Anderson.

(Photo/Provided)The Greenville Tech drive, coordinated by Wendy Walden, associate vice president of executive affairs for the school, collected 23 respirator facepieces, 800 caps, 4,100 gloves, 20 Fluidshield masks, 5,000 surgical masks, 600 coveralls and 450 shoe covers for the Greenville hospital system, according to a news release.

“We are so happy to put these supplies in the hands of the professionals who are working tirelessly to assist COVID-19 patients,” Walden said in the release. “I am proud to represent the many GTC employees who gave of their time and effort to make this donation.”

Walden also serves on the board of directors for Bon Secours St. Francis Health System.
