The Greenville Chamber and US&S Facility Services first began the campaign with an objective to donate up to 10,000 masks, but with donations from BMW Manufacturing, Hubbell Lighting, International Vitamin Corp. and Sonfast Corp., the group has been able to expand their store by 32,000 more facial coverings, according to a news release. The Simpsonville Chamber of Commerce, CommunityWorks, Augusta Road Merchant Association and Downtown Merchant Association have also contributed marketing support to the project.

“We, along with these generous community partners, understand that a healthy community leads to a faster and more robust economic recovery,” Carlos Phillips, president and CEO of the Greenville Chamber, said in the release. “We’re overwhelmed by the support this initiative has garnered from the entire community as we equip small businesses with the personal protective equipment they need to offer safe environments for customers, clients and employees.”

Small businesses and nonprofits can receive masks by July 23 if they sign up by July 15, according to the release.
