It joins AFC Urgent Care Bon Secours’ seven Greenville County locations in Cherrydale, Simpsonville, Greer, Taylors and on Pelham Road and Augusta Road in Greenville, according to a news release.

Employers can use the center for workers’ compensation, injury care, pre- and ongoing employment screenings, Department of Transportation physicals and regulatory exams, the release said. Patients also can also receive sports physicals and immunizations.

Urgent care treatment will be available for everyday illness and injury, including treatment for allergic reactions or ailments like the common cold, flu and upper respiratory infections. The center also will offer X-ray services, lab testing and treatment for broken bones, among other maladies, according to the release.

“Convenient access to care is paramount for today’s population, and that’s exactly what Bon Secours is looking to do with this new facility on Haywood Road,” Ann Allen, COO of the Bon Secours Medical Group, said in the release. “Bringing an urgent care location to this area will enable Bon Secours and AFC to offer patients enhanced access to care and improved quality of care, at a reduced cost.”

As part of what AFC representatives call an “aggressive expansion” in the Upstate, at least eight AFC clinics not affiliated with Bon Secours have opened across the Upstate over the past five years, with a new Clemson location at the Hartwell Village Shopping Center on 13400 Clemson Boulevard celebrating its grand opening on July 30.

Mauldin is set to open an AFC clinic in 2021, followed by four additional Upstate locations over the next several years. Current centers not directly affiliated with Bon Secours include AFC’s Easley, Powdersville, Duncan, Greenwood, Boiling Springs and Anderson facilities, according to a release.
