A vacation website that ranks top destinations in each state has put Spartanburg in its top 25 Best Places to Visit in South Carolina.

VacationIdea.com said Spartanburg was “packed with historical attractions and a wealth of cultural and outdoor activities.” It cited specifically Spartanburg’s Downtown Walking Tour, the Spartanburg Music Trail, Spartanburg Art Museum and Chapman Cultural Center.

“Spartanburg offers a lot of options that appeal to numerous different kinds of travelers,” said Chris Jennings, executive vice president of the Spartanburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, in a news release. “VacationIdea.com did a great job of capturing some of our most exciting aspects.”

The site included Columbia, Greenville, Charleston, North Charleston, Falls Park on the Reedy, Clemson and the Swamp Rabbit Trail on the list.
