A restaurant featuring Detroit-style pizza has announced it is opening a location inside the Drayton Mills Marketplace in Spartanburg.
Pi-Squared Pizza, which has a location in Hendersonville, N.C., plans to open inside a 3,300-square-foot space at the former mill. The Spartanburg location is expected to open in the summer.
“We are thrilled to be opening in Drayton Mills and excited about the opportunity to bring authentic, Detroit-style pizza to Spartanburg,” said Karen Rampey, owner of Pi-Squared Pizza, in a news release. “Drayton Mills Marketplace perfectly fits our industrial theme, and we can’t wait to join the Drayton community.”
The restaurant opened its first location in Hendersonville in February 2016 and has announced plans to open another location in Boiling Springs. The Spartanburg location will be open seven days a week and include take-out and delivery options.
“We are very excited to have Pi-Squared Pizza joining Drayton Mills Marketplace,” said Tara Sherbert, principal of TMS Development, developer of the Drayton Mills Marketplace with Montgomery Development Group. “Their community-minded approach will be a perfect fit for Drayton, and we can’t wait for everyone to try their amazing food.”
Pi-Squared Pizza will join The Standard: A Refined Kitchen — a new concept restaurant offered by Rick Erwin Dining Group — as food options inside Drayton Mills Marketplace. The marketplace accompanies 289 apartments converted from former mill warehouses constructed between 1902 and 1950.
