New development to host community market

Hartness, a new urban community in Greenville, will host a monthly community market on their Grand Lawn beginning Friday, May 18. Located at 103 Alester Square, “Fresh Fridays on the Grand Lawn” will bring local farmers and artisans to the property to display and sell an assortment of products, according to a news release from the developers. The event is open to the public at no charge and will feature family-friendly live entertainment, food, and featured monthly activities, according to the news release.

Fresh Fridays on the Grand Lawn will take place on the third Friday of each month from 6-8 p.m. event is scheduled each month through Oct 19.

“We are proud to host an engaging and lively series of new events, in which families can spend an evening enjoying good food and entertainment in our park-like environment,” Sean Hartness, designer of development, said in the news release. “As our first signature event, we look forward to sharing the beauty of Hartness with all those who join us during this summer series.”

Upon completion, the new community on 444 acres will showcase different amenities such as a Village Center, two creeks, 14 ponds and 15 miles of trails, the news release said.
