The founder and CEO of Barberitos, Downing Barber, will be at the Greenville Barberitos off S. Pleasantburg Avenue on Jan. 21, talking food and business while he demonstrates how to roll a burrito and smash guacamole.

Barber is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Athens, Ga.-based fast-casual restaurant business, which has 50 locations in the Southeast, including the Greenville restaurant near Fresh Foods and a store in Anderson.

Barberitos is finding success against restaurants with similar menus by serving farm-fresh, high-quality food, Barber said in a news release. Many of the restaurants’ menu items are prepared or cooked in-house daily, including guacamole, salsas, vegetables as well as chicken, steak, turkey, tofu, rice and beans. Slow-cooked pulled pork, once a limited-time menu item, is being added permanently, along with ghost pepper tortillas and avocado ranch dressing, to celebrate the company’s anniversary, the news release said.

Barber will be at the restaurant, 27 S. Pleasantburg Drive, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
