Debbie Wallace, vice president of Verdae Development Inc., has been named COO of the organization. She will work with the senior executive team to oversee the completion of the Verdae Masterplan, reporting directly to Rick Sumerel, president and CEO of Verdae Development Inc. Wallace assumes the role of COO immediately, and remains vice president of the company.
"This is a natural organizational move that comes at a time of tremendous growth for Verdae,” said Tim Reed, chairman of the board of Verdae Development Inc, in a news release. “Debbie’s experience and key leadership competencies make her well suited to meet the demands of the day-to-day operation and further the strategic advancement of the Verdae Masterplan.”
Wallace joined the company in 2008 as director of marketing to oversee all components of the marketing and brand strategy for Verdae. As COO she will assist in directing tactical activities, including operational and financial performance, for residential and commercial real estate holdings.
The master plan for Verdae, an 1,100-acre tract of real estate in Greenville, was announced in 2005. Verdae includes a collection of residential offerings, corporate and professional office buildings and suites, a retirement community, a town center for retail and entertainment and a system of trails, parks and green spaces.
