Executive recruiting company in new hands

The Q Works Group Inc., which provides executive placements for several Upstate industries, has been acquired by staffing industry veteran Michael Clegg.

The firm is an affiliate of MRINetwork, one of the largest executive search and recruitment organizations in the world, based in Charlotte, N.C., according to a news release. The Q Works Group recruits for the automotive, building products, chemicals, engineering and lighting industries. Clegg said in the news release that he intends to expand into technology and health care.

With three bilingual recruiters on staff, the company has partnered with more than 50 European firms, particularly those operating in the German market, the news release said.

Joe Woerner, the founder and previous president, retired after 16 years of operation, according to the news release. The Q Works Group is based in Fort Mill.
