Smith Moore Leatherwood merging with Fox Rothschild

Listen to this articleSmith Moore Leatherwood LLP is merging with Fox Rothschild LLP, headquartered in Philadelphia, effective Nov. 1. All current Smith Moore Leatherwood offices will adopt the Fox Rothschild name.
“We are thrilled to join Fox Rothschild,” said Julie Theall Earp, chairwoman of the Smith Moore Leatherwood management committee, in a news release. “For almost 100 years we have been proud to provide our clients with efficient, top-level legal services. Combining resources with Fox allows us to expand our geographic reach and utilize an established nationwide network of resources for our clients.”
The merger marks Fox Rothchild’s first move into the Southeast, the release said. The addition of Smith Moore Leatherwood’s six offices in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina brings the combined firm to 27 locations nationwide with more than 900 attorneys.
