German auto supplier opening Greer production facility

German manufacturer Bo Parts GmbH is investing $4.1 million in a new facility in Greenville County and plans to create 100 new jobs over the next five years.

The company, a part of the FRIMO Group, is opening a 60,000-square-foot facility at 129 Metro Court in Greer, according to the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

“We are currently completing the launch of our first program for BMW and are in discussion on additional programs with several customers,” said Hans-Günter Bayer, CEO of FRIMO Group GmbH, in a news release.

Bo Parts specializes in small-batch production of service parts, low-volume production parts, sample parts, prototypes and exotic parts, the release said.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits related to the project. A $100,000 Set Aside grant was also awarded to Greenville County to assist with the cost to upfit the building.
